Wasabi Panko Shrimp

Wasabi Shrimp


  • Raw Shrimp (devein and remove shell except for tail)
  • Wasabi Mayo
  • Panko (Japanese Breadcrumbs)
  • Shredded Cheese (Good bet is Del Giorno Parm, Romano, Asiago blend – comes in a plastic container in the refrigerated section)
  • Cayenne Pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees
  2. Clean raw shrimp and dry well
  3. Mix panko with a couple of healthy handfuls of shredded cheese and a couple of sprinkles of cayenne pepper
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional)
  5. Dip shrimp lightly in mayo and then panko/cheese mixture
  6. Place on baking sheet
  7. Cook shrimp for 10 minutes
  8. Serve with wasabi mayo for dipping (or mix a little bit of wasabi mayo with ketchup for something similar to cocktail sauce)


Make Ahead: You can prepare shrimp ahead of time in the morning, and store in the refrigerator for baking later.
